About me and the site:
Photography is a hobby of mine that consumes my time outside of my career as an outdoor educator and instructor. My home on wheels has allowed me to explore much of the American west but I tend to orbit most closely to Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and the Desert Southwest. While I enjoy many forms of backcountry travel, over the years I have found myself most inspired by expedition paddling and developing new self-support packraft routes. I recently added a "trip reports" section to this site to help others with planning their own expeditions. Whether on ski, foot, or by boat, my experiences in the backcountry have shaped who I am, and I hope that my work as an educator and photographer can ignite in others a passion for wild places.
